    IC Awareness at my Wedding

    Hey Guys!

First I want to say that I love everybody on this forum! This has been an amazing resource and comfort to me since I got diagnosed in March of this year.

I am getting married on December 30th 2011 to the love of my life-Charlie (hence my user name lol). I recently watched a wedding show where a breast cancer survivor was getting married. It was important to the bride that breast cancer awareness be part of the wedding. Her whole wedding was done in pink. Guests receive crystal pink ribbons as gifts.

I want to do something similar at my wedding with IC. I just have no idea what I should do. I was thinking of doing the ribbons with a small note attached explaining what IC was. However, explaining that IC cause urinary frequency and pain and burning, etc is not the kind of thing I want printed on my wedding gift boxes. Does that make since to ya'll?

Plus I don't have a big budget and I can not afford expensive pins. You guys have any ideas?

Also, I still cannot figure out what the IC awareness color is. I've heard some people say navy blue, teal and turquoise. Anyone know for sure?

    Thanks,
    Tiff

I'll think about it and see if I can come up with any ideas.

Wow that is a fantastic idea! I'm sorry to report I have no idea what IC awareness color is...that just goes to show you how little awareness there is of IC!

I will think about this and I hope to get back to you if I can think of anything. And please keep us updated on what you plan on doing, i would love to know!

p.s. congrats on your upcoming wedding!
