    Unhappy flaring again

it's not as bad as it could be, but it still sucks. frequency isn't a big problem right now, but pain is. any ideas on what i can do to help until i see the uro next week?

so far, this is what i'm doing.

prelief before ANY food enters my mouth (this includes drinks too).

urelle about 3 times a day.

still taking the elmiron (hasn't started working yet).

    lots of water.

trying to stick to boring blah foods.

the only change in my life right now is stress and lots of it. usually my flares are just lots of pain and bloating. but this time, i don't have the bloating, but i feel like i've got something inside my bladder just shocking me with electricity. and if i touch my skin near my pelvis, it just sends it into conniptions. i'm seeing some blood in my urine too.

i just need some tips to get through this week until next tuesday. anyone?

Sometimes taking some Tums can help me out of a flare --- and they're good for their calcium even if it doesn't help your pain level.

Are you drinking plenty of water? That can be very important to help keep the urine diluted. A heat pad can be a real savior.

    Warm healing thoughts,

When I'm in a bad flare, I drink distilled water only and super-bland foods. Eggs & rice with butter. Also, an ice pack on lower abdomen, and sleeping on my side with pillow between knees.

And lots of videos at night to distract me when I can't sleep. I tape shows I like then watch them when I'm up a lot at night.

    Hope you feel better soon!!!
