spermicide?

Hello All!

It's been awhile since I've logged on and posted but I have a question...

Has anyone had any luck with particular spermicides that did NOT cause a flare for you?

I just had my second child (a girl!!!) and I am loathe to go back on a hormonal birth control (seems to make my IC worse among other things). We may think about a 3rd child in 2 years, so husband doesn't want to get snipped yet...

I'm seriously considering the Femcap (cervical cap) but it recommends using it with a spermicide. The last kind I used - a spermicidal film - caused flares. Just wondering what experiences other IC-ers had, and if there was something specific I should try.

Spermacides always seemed to aggravate me, ugh - either by bothering my IC or making me itch, so I have no good answers from my experience for that, lol. Hopefully others will relate what's worked for them!
