    Onions

So I'm a little confused about the IC diet list. I see that raw bulb onion is a no no but green onions and garlic seems to be okay. I guess I'm confused because they're all from the same family so why large bulb onions would be worse?

Does that mean onion is okay as long as it's cooked?

I'm just trying to figure my way around this onion dilemma.

Some patients are ok with cooked onion or onion powder, but not all. Unfortunately, this food is one of those "trial & error" foods. If you decide to try it, start with a small amount to see how you react & if it's worth it to try more.
