    high potassium cereals

This may be helpful info for you all...

OK....I've just identified one of my triggers (and it could be a trigger for anyone).

AllBran cereals contain somewhere around 200mg (grams? can't remember the measurement) of potassium per serving. Everytime I eat a bowl of it in the morning I experience burning, pain & frequency about an hour later.

I noticed that a week of not eating the stuff has helped a great deal.

Seems like a no-brainer I guess....but it is just sinking in for me now, :P

As long as you're getting an adequate amount of potassium from other foods, I don't see a problem with stopping eating the cereals. Many cereals have multiple contents so it could easily be something else in the cereal.

Be careful. It could be the wheat in the cereals too. I found that whole wheat really bothers me.

I know that banana is a high in potassium and I can't eat even a half of one without suffering the consequences.
