Native American Wild BlackBerry Tea
This is another good tea that the Native American women used for Cystitis and other female type things.
My Grand Mother used to drink Both Tea's I've mentioned.

I suggest going to Google and Typing that in , and it should give you links to web sites that carry these type Tea's.
They'd be actual herbal type stores. There's alot of Native American sites out there that sell these goodies.

I just typed that in and hit the second one on the result page. Anyhow, it showed actually what you and Carole had typed. Yep! It was smaller and not in color and all. I may try some of the other results now. Smile!... God loves you.

There's all kinds of Native American Tea's for all sorts of ailments.
I enjoy the 2 above ones.
The Wild cherry Bark tea is extra good if you have a cold. :woohoo:
Just don't consume large amounts of these.
1 or 2 cup's a day is enough.

Glenda are you sure that any of the things you are drinking and or eating that are the Native American things you have mentioned are not bothering your bladder or part of the intolerance you have to some medications?
The only reason I ask this is that there are things for instance cranberry jc as an example that many people will tell someone with IC to drink to help heal the bladder. Cranberry juice will actually hurt most of us with our IC bladders and make things worse.
One thing that everyone has to remember is that these herbal teas and things may have medicinal properties and if you mix these with your other prescribed medications they could cause you trouble. You should always use caution and possibly discuss this with your Dr.
Back before the medications that we know today as Glenda has shared the Native Americans had to rely on the plants of the land and other things that I don't even know about, to treat their ailments but that said it only makes sense that you have to use caution in using them.Jolene

I agree with Jolene. It's very important to ingest very tiny amounts of any new or different drink. I have my grandmother's home remedy book and the things it suggests for bladder health would cause me extreme misery!

I haven't had any of these in quite awhile.
They are just things that my Cherokee relatives have had.
But , yes , I have tried them before. They are quite good.
That is why I suggest you google it and read about it.
It has No relation to my IC what so ever.
If you want to try them , ask your doctor if it is Ok.

Glenda,
My greatgrandmother was a Cherokee. She died before I was born, so I didn't get to learn a lot of the culture. Actually she died before my Mom too, so not much was passed down.
Oh, the Blackberries sound yummy. I actually have blackberry bushes and we got about 8qts this past season that are still in our freezer.
Oh, just want for a few months, I'm going to be diving into them!!!
Hugs and blessingsMARY

All these Native American Tea's are very good.
You don't want to go over board and consume too much of it though.
1 or 2 mugs a day is Just fine.
I haven't had any in awhile. ( Too lazy to order it ).
But , Ask your doctor before you try anything.
Just like any of the other drinks that are getting mentioned on this Thread site. Not just the Indian beverages.
All of it*
Mary , what Cherokee line did your Grand Mother come from ?
I can trace mine back to the 1300-1400's.
Very Impressive Chief's.
