    Zeolites and IC

Just wanted to post some preliminary results for taking zeolites for my IC. A friend of a friend told me she had been diagnosed with IC many years ago. A few months ago she began taking a product called **** that is a zeolite. She says her IC problems now are minimal.

Since I'm willing to try almost anything to minimize symptoms, I decided to try it. Today I have been on the product for 10 days and I can't believe how calm my bladder is. My trips to the restroom have been cut in half! In fact, I have been trying to not stop by the restroom out of "habit" just to see how long I can go without pain. This is the first morning I have been able to drive from home to work (about 30 min.) without having to run in here and hit the restroom first! Amazing! I'll keep you posted on further progress.

I did a brief search and all I could find is that trials were stopped before any definitive results. I recommend discussing this with a physician before trying it.

I can appreciate your concern. However, everytime I have asked a traditional doctor or urologist about any kind of supplements they have all "poo poo'd" them saying, "oh, that stuff doesn't work", yet I have had success with several supplements. To me, it is useless to talk to any traditional medical doctors about this kind of thing. They are not open minded about anything besides "hard" drugs.

    zeolite?

I was wondering if you could tell me what type of zeolite you tried?

I looked up 'zeolite' and found that term refers to a wide variety of minerals...ones used for catlitter, ones for blood clotting..
I tried a variety of herbs for i.c. before, took cats claw, drank gallons of marshmallow tea, etc.. with no relief.

Elmiron made me better...but my hair fell out. When I told my medical dr. I was going to stop taking elmiron b/c of hair loss, she was not understanding.... as if she would take a medication 3 times a day if it made her hair fall out.

The name of the product I was taking was deleted from my post. Guess you can't put names out there even if it helps someone. Private message me and I'll give you the name of the product.
