Others in Kansas City?
Several years ago I was in a car accident. I was not injured in the accident, however several months later I started to have urgency and later minor to moderate incontinence during the day and enuresis. I hope to find a solution soon, but I'm working on coping right now. I don't think I have IC, but some of the symptoms are the same and I have dealt with the same exact anxiety and depression that others with IC go through. I just finished college at the University of Kansas. I have dealt with the humiliation of having to wear 'protection' and being terrified of being found out. I haven't really dated much at all and have limited my social activities. I'm currently trying to get back into a social and dating life with or without bladder problems. What I would like to find are other people close to my age who have had similar experiences and would be interested in talking to someone like myself who can be supportive and fun to talk to about anything.

Any IC'ers out there in KC? I am a mom of one, an RN, and have IC. Would love to talk to you.

Hello. I am from the KC area also. I have spent half my life urologist hopping & finally found an excellent urologist that I couldn't be happier with. If anyone is interested in seeing him, let me know & I will get you his info.

I would love to know who you see! I am generally pleased with mine, but would love to have other options.

hi ladies... to both of you... i see Dr Johnson in Olathe. I would like to find a Urologist north of the river though as I'm pretty far north. Dr Johnson is a fine Dr, but that drive is awful... especially bc being in a car makes my IC flare.
If you ladies would like to meet sometime for coffee (just kidding!), i mean lunch, let's set something up. I've never talked (a real conversation) with anyone with IC.

Karma,
Do you know if your doctor offers Post tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) procedures? I would love to have his name and number. Thank you for sharing.

I see Dr. Tietjen in Lee's Summit. He has another office somewhere else but I can't remember where right now. His # is 816-524-1007.
