Can you please answer some Q's for me.

hello
I just went to another doctor and he asked some questions and checked me. Always with the pain pressure and always have to pee feelings.
Ive been in alot more pain ever since.
He pinched my bladder I asume and WOW right on.
I had some questions about what exactly you feel and think
He did diagnois me with IC and said the drugs I was on should help my GYN was guessing between IC and Endo and gave me Elmiron.
My Uro who I saw said I didnt have IC and after the scope and questions, but I think after calling and calling and saying I AM in pain he came around and said well lets try these gave me Elavil but it gave me restless leg and arm feeling on my left and my heart race took it for 4 days plus it says dont use of retaining urine and I feel like I do. So Im not using it now.
Sorry anyway my Q's are these:
I only have pain inside like utheral up area. I dont have any pain at all in my abdomen unless I press right above the pubic bone then I can feel some pain, Do any of you feel the same?
I also wonder about PFD he did like feel my back had me sit up pressed on either side of my V(sorry) and had me press against his hand like my knees and legs ands such. Is this how you get diagnoised with this disorder?
I also have another on PFD I can feel like the muscle or something moving when I am not doing it just lightly. Like the kegel type muscles moving and also like around the ureathra.
Sorry I have more the Uro decided he would let me try Atarax Ive been on it a week and still feel the same. Does it take longer to work than that?

Please if you could tell me what you feel I know we are all sooo very different but just your thoughts would be of help thank you so much.

It does sound like it could be IC plus PFD. Have you tried the diet yet? If not, I think that would be a good next step for you.

You might also ask your gyn about PFD, if you haven't already. If he/she isn't sure about it, perhaps asking for a referral to another gyn or doc who treats it or is more familiar with it could be in order. Then you can get referred to a good person for pfd therapy, if indeed you need that.

That was me EXACTLY. I peed myself the rest of the day. Good thing I wear pantiliners. It took about a month for my bladder to get over it.

I always feel bad (will I ever feel good?) I only have one day a week that I dont feel as awful with the I got to go feeling and its not even every week, Plus it doesnt even last all day.
The diet is great on the horrible burning bladder pain. I still however always, always feel my bladder saying I got to goooooooooo and aching like. stinging like.
We'll I know the doctors need to figure things out, but ever since then my bladder is so mad at me.
It also feels like Im tensing alot more than I was before.
I cant go see the ONLY pelvic doctor in my area until August.
I guess I just have to wait,
My doctor now wants me to try the Instillations.
I am to scared to actually do it. My urethra is finally feeling good after the Cystoscope thing it took about 6 weeks to get over it so I dont know what to do.
Any advice?
Im really still hoping that the atarax works, should I give up on that its been almost 3 weeks and nada?

It seems reasonable if you are worried about catherterization to ask your doctor about some other oral meds besides just Atarax. An antihistamine alone is often not enough to help with serious bladder spasms and burning. If you've done all your reading here, you know that some of the more common meds prescribed are Pyridium (helps with the burning pain), Urelle (helps with spasms and also pain), Elavil (has an anti-spasmodic, antihistamine and analgesic properties) and Elmiron. The first three work fairly quickly (especially pyridium) and Elmiron of course is a long-term therapy.

You can get pyridium otc sold as Azo or Uristat at any drugstore. If you have stabbling burning pain and spasms or urgency/frequency, it can help in the short term.
