1 box of Elmiron - how long does it last?

    Hi,

I can't understand from my pharmacy what the cost will be for the Elmiron!

They say that 1 box is 300£.. my doctor said that I should be able to have it for 100£ a month.

Does 1 box last for 3 months then?

    Sorry for the stupid question

How many pills are in each box? Call the pharmacy or whatever your source is and find that out.

I don't know how much this amount is in American Monies... but yes it depends on how many you take- I take 6 a day (2 x 3 times) it cost me my co-pay of $25.00--if I didn't have insurance it would be over $600.00.
Find out this information, if this is not affordable for you, there are other medications that you can take.

My experience with meds is as long as the rx is written to cover 30 days, regardless of how many pills this might entail, its considered a one month supply. For example my Elmiron--I use to take 3 pills 3x/day (9 pills per day x 30 days=270 pills total per month)..I'm now taking 1 pill 1x/day (=30 pills total per month)---the same cost applies to both scripts as either way its a one-month supply.

    Thanks Diana...

Unfortunately I have to pay in full for Elmiron. I am in UK and here it's not been approved yet!!

Thinking that I get cystistat instillations, that are not approved over there!!

    Crazy
