Does Hydrodistension bring relief to Sjogren's patients
Hi, So shortly after I was diagnosed with IC back in June, I was also diagnosed with Sjogren's Disease. I was scheduled for a hydro but my rheumatologist thought it was unecessary and suggested to attack the Sjogrens with antiinflamatory meds like azulfidine. Well, I never even noticed the symptoms of Sjorgrens even though two blood tests confirm I have it. My rheum is convinced the IC is caused by the Sjorgrens. My uro disagrees. Well I have been on Sjogrens meds and Elmiron for several months now. I had ten blissful days in there somewhere and now the pain is back worse than ever. I've had a series of instillations which don't really help. My uro says, do the hydro, they can see better what's going on and it may give relief. What should I do? Do Sjogren's patients benefit from hydro just as well as other IC sufferers or do I need to wait it out longer. I ready to try anything! Thanks, Alecia
