Hello,

My name is Robin from Austin, TX, and I am 26 yrs old. All my life I have suffered from nocturia and incontinence, I wake up 3-4x's per nite. As of last year though, my symptoms started to worsen. I have had atleast 6 urinalyses performed per year and all have had Hemoturia. I cramp all day long and feel no relief after voiding. I usually have to use the restroom every 1-2 hrs. Coffee is the death of me. I have never been able to handle a ride in the car for more than 30 minute without having to make a pit stop. I travel a lot for work, and it is an outdoor job, so this is really hurting my job performance and my freedom. Sex has always been a bit painful, but my drive is very high so I just ignore it. Currently I am still being seen by my urologist. I had an IVP performed and the radiologist said he saw a narrowing of my ureter tubes. The urologist said she beilieved there was no problem and that he was to young to even make a diagnosis. She just recently informed me that she will be retiring soon. So the question is should I have the full bladder distention and scope to the kidneys or just the regular bladder scope. As of now I am scheduled for the regular bladder scope. She warned me that IC patients can have there bladder rupture during distention, and it has happened to her patients. This is why I have opted for the simple scope. My most current urnalysis has been forwarded to an endocrenologist to see if they can pinpoint where its coming from. I am scared, and its taking to long to get a proper diagnosis. I have been on Detrol LA, and had to stop, it was hard to void and gave me psychosis since I kept forgetting things. Vesicare worked fairly well at easing my cramps but is very expensive. Ditropan has been helpful for a normal desk day, but out on the job and riding in a big truck hurt pretty bad. Has anybody else had the same story, do you think its IC or something worse?
