    Physical Theraphy caused yeast infection

    has this happened to anyone?
I was doing OK with the PT going at a "slow" pace, then we started internal work and.... BAM: yeast infection.
I told my doctor that the yeast probbably became "angry" by stirring things up with the massage and pressure, etc.
Like when you have a dormant pimple in your face and you start messing up with it. The would be th eequivalent in this case.

Anyways I just want to share this fo those who have problems with yeast and are also considering PT, you may want to go very slow in the process.

My conclusion is to try the vibrator (w/o the vibration mode) and dilator very slowly* + a good muscle relaxer.
The Physical therapist cn show you how to use it and you can do it at home.

But if you don't have yeast infections problems...PT is an excellent and whorthwile approach. Good complemnet for the management of PFD, IC, V V.

I am guessing that as you start internal work you also were adding some liquid into the vagina? I went through a time in my life when any time I did that I would get a yeast infection......because my norm was to be dry ....as long as I was dry things were ok but any time I wasn't the environment was yeast friendly. VSL (a probiotic) changed that around for me thankfully. Maybe there is a small natural thing you can do to make it so that this doesn't have to be a reacurring problem for you?

I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Katrina, yes, liquid or the lucbricants are always PH 7 or so. That is high for the vagina (the vaginal PH should not be higher than 4.5) It think the right PH is 3.5 to 4.5 which is acidic and prevents harmful bacteria or yeat to grow.
The fact that it is sumer and we are over the 90s also contributes...

I'm on VSL#3 for over a year, it definetely helps strenghten the immune system and re=colonize the GI tract.
I alrnate it with Femdophilus which contains 2 strains that are supposed to be good for the genitouritary health.
Have you ever tried inserting VSL# or acidoflius vaginally?
    I take them orally.
