What is it in Glucosamine/MSM that helps?

I am just curious if any of you who have been on this for awhile know what the mechanism is in this therapy that is beneficial to those who it is helping?

I have started my second bottle now and this is really helping me a lot I think. I even make "bubbles" now sometimes when I go. I am excited about that, I haven't had that kind of stream or volume for a long time.

I still have to watch my diet but if I want a little bit of a food I couldn't do before I can have a little now.

I will continue using this and just wanted to understand more about why it is helping me.

Jolene, I am not for sure what is in that helps but my mom has been taking it for her aches and pains for years. She swears by it! And I my husband has always had knee problems and they would hurt him so bad when it would rain. But since he has been on it, he said he has no problems with them.. So I know it is NO fluke by any means.. I still am having flares but I do not feel my bladder like I use to. I do not have that burning all the time. And My stream is not great but it is better!! In the beginning it was dribbles! I am so glad it is helping you.. What Mg are you taking?
