I can't find that site...it's "Forbidden" here at work b/c of the Firewalls they have in place.

I know many people are in agony who eat strawberries....I eat them with no problems, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority
Somewhere there's a reason /Why things go like they do /Somewhere there's a reason /Why some things just fall through /We don't always see them /For what they really are /But I know there's a reason /Just can't see it from this far /Maybe I don't like it, /But I have no choice /I know that somewhere, /Someone hears my voice / I thought I knew it all /I thought I had it made /How could it end this way? /I thought I knew Somewhere there's a reason /Why things don't go my way /Somewhere there's a reason /That I cannot explain /Just like the change of season, /Just may not be my turn /But I know there's a reason, /The lesson's mine to learn

I just checked that site and it's important to remember that it simply says, "Okay to try" --- not that they are okay. It also says it's okay to try rhubarb and that one is a real problem for me.

Strawberries are definitely a no no for me too for the most part. If I am doing well and want to "take" a chance, I will indulge myself and done okay, but it's just 1 and you know it's hard to stop at one, so I try to not allow myself to be tempted. Too bad I have all these weddings that are coming up, and they always have the chocolate fountain with the assorted fruit! It's just not fair!

I can eat most of the things on the okay to try list, but it took me quite a while to work through it with the eliminatin process. For the most part, I am not diet sensitive and can eat most foods with the exception of citrus...which is hard. I am also a picky eater, so that helps when it comes to focusing on variations of food. I know the ones I can eat and I stick to the same things. I also eat out pretty much everyday and have found most of the restaurants and even alot of fast food places that accomodate my diet.

Recently 2 ladies and I (all with IC) went to lunch and we had a great time changing up the menu so that we could eat! It was alot of fun and we all ate well!

My suggestion is to use the diet list at http://www.ic-network.com/diet/dietcheatsheet.html and until you begin to feel better, stick with the foods on the usually okay list.

I did a very bad thing at lunch. Yes, I knew better! I really did, but my co-worker ordered a piece of strawberry cake and she gave me a few bites. My husband was sitting right there fussing at me, but I said I had been doing so good and just a couple bites wouldn't hurt. I am sitting here with my heating pad now. I don't carry pain meds with me anymore, since I don't take them during the day, so at least I am not begging to go home yet. I have drank a lot of water thinking I will just go home, take a pill, turn on my heated mattress pad and watch AMerican Idol and otherwise just veg. Then I realized that I have already promised my hubby that I would go to watch the Memphis Grizzlies (I hate pro basketball...but his buddy can't go tonight). Now, I will have to rush home and take my med and go downtown in this cold air (another bladder destroyer) and sit on those hard seats! I can't complain to hubby since he already "told me so"!

It was so good though! I promise I will never to this to my body again!
