why does it always make me vomit??

everytime i take pyridium or uristat....it makes me puke.....

and it works so well.......but I cant stand the puking 20 minutes later.....

any thoughts??

uristat does the same for me, i dont know why but every time i take it... no matter if i eat before i take it. I always end up puking. There must me something in it. They have a simlar brand called cyctex I take that. It doesnt have the effect that uristat does. HOpe you feel better!!!1

I can't take Pyridium either. It always upsets my stomach. The more I took it the worse I felt. After a number of years, I read about Prosed on this site and asked my doctor about it since I took Trac II a long time ago which they don't make anymore. Prosed sounded alot like Trac II. I take Prosed DS instead and have never felt sick to my stomach. Some people feel it may be the orange dye in the Pyridium. Prosed DS turns your urine blue. There is also Urelle that I have heard people say help them instead of Pyridium.

Hope you find something that works.

cyctex is otc med, it's identical to uristat except it doesn't make your urine orange. I find it at CVS. Urelle is also good but you have to ask your uro for that.

Im the same way with so many meds that are for ic , they make me puke , or i have reaction to them. its not fair. but stop taking what makes you sick because you may get more serious side affects and end up in er . That is what happened to me on xmas eve , just because of the meds my doc gave to me .

I to have the same problem. I found that I can take the over the counter AZO and that helps quite a bit. You can get it at your local drug store. I get my at my local Wal-Mart.
