    Wish me luck...colonoscopy/EGD tomorrow

I've just started the prep for my colonoscopy/EGD procedure tomorrow. I have to take 32 pills and they're horse pills. I have really been feeling bad and my body is in so much pain already, and so is my bladder. I've been throwing up a lot, mostly at night for some reason. I just want to get through these two scopes tomorrow and find out what in the world is wrong with me. For those of you who have had this prep, did it bother your bladder? Mine is so unhappy I don't know how I'll deal with it.

I'm wondering about taking pyridium too and am going to call my doctor to find out if I can take it....my guess is no. If I can't even have red jello I'm pretty sure I can't have anything that turns my urine orange because it might turn my colon orange too.

Anyway, wish me luck....I'll get on as soon as I can and tell my results but I have a feeling it might not be tomorrow....may be Tuesday.

Thanks so much for all the support I've gotten throughout this mess.

    Sandy

I hope everything goes well for you today and tomorrow. The colonoscopy prep did not hurt my bladder either time I did it. I also had a colonoscopy and EGD together in July. I'm guessing the answer to the pyridium is no because of the color. Best wishes.

    Good luck with the scopes.
The prep I did didnt bother my bladder. Fearing that it would I inquired about taking pyridium and my Dr's answer was "no".

    Best wishes....

Thanks everyone. It's been a relatively uneventful day. I did the prep at noon and just finished the second round of it. It's not been too bad at all and to anyone that's going to have a colonoscopy done I suggest these pills. They're called OsmoPrep and they haven't bothered my bladder at all. It's been upset but it's not any worse from the pills, thankfully.

The worst of it is almost over...well, except for the IV stick and I've got NO veins...Tom said I need a nurse from WWII with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth that can start an IV with the pump for a bicycle to get my IV started! He's pretty much right. They'll bring in their best IV person or they won't stick me. So there! LOL

Can't believe there is a LOL in my post tonight...gotta laugh, the alternative isn't so fun.

    Hi Sandy,
I just read your post and want to let you know that I am praying for you. I hope they find out what is wrong and I pray that they can get you feeling better. I did not realize you were still sick and dealing with this. I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. Hang in there and when you feel better let us know how you are doing.
    Miss Bessie

Galatians 6:2 - Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Hebrews 13:2 - Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

Proverbs 4:23 - Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life
