    Question Urine sent to lab

    When an MD sends your urine to the lab, what does the lab test your urine for?
    My urine was sent to the lab, and came back negative.
    I wish I had asked the doctor. Silly me.

    Diagnosed with IC in 1998
    Subdural Hematoma in 1998
    Diagnosed with HPV in 2001
    Diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder in 2005

    Current Medications:
    Pyridium
    Thinking about trying DMSO treatments.

    Your doctor orders the specific lab tests. Usually they will test for infection.

    I know they test for infection...does this include Strep and Staph?
    I do not know which specific infections he asked the urine to be tested for.
    I know that when they do the dipstick test, it is for luekocytes mainly, and the dipstick test does not test for strep, or staph.
