More Surgery and one more chance at Pregnancy

My Pelvic Pain Specialist is working real hard to get my pain to a level that I am comfortable with. In my signature I've put in there that I have severe adhesion disease. He's thinking that what may be contributing to my urgency feeling is that my bladder and uterus are completely adhered tightly to my pubic bone.

I had a long conversation with him explaining that I wasn't ready for a hysterectomy because I felt that there could still be a small chance that after he is done with this surgery, that I may be able to conceive.

Upcoming Surgery November 29th:Laparoscopy with possible Laparatomy depending on how far damaged the adhesions have gone. He will separate the uterus and bladder from the pubic bone as well as anything else he sees while in there. Also clearing out the Endometriosis. He's going to clean out my fallopian tubes and ovaries. He is going to place wire mesh at the adhesion sites to slow the growth of further adhesions after surgery. The adhesions will grow back but this can slow it down a bit. After I heal from this surgery we will be able to resume with our lives. We are not going to "try" to get pregnant with fertility drugs. But we won't protect ourselves. We will just live and try to enjoy each other’s company. At some point he would like to do a hysterectomy but he says it's entirely up to us when we do this.

Further down the road in to next year I will be having the Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery in NH.

It just keeps getting more and more complex it makes my head spin!

I will continue to keep on going and pray for better treatments and pain reduction ahead.

Thanks for your continued love and support! Many Hugs to you ALL!

    Kara

    Kara,
This surgery could be a blessing. If you get all that cleaned out it will give you a chance to conceive. You would be a wonderful mom. But one day at a time ((((((((hugs))))))))
