Strange reaction to rescue solution

I had my fourth rescue solution instillation today. Everytime I get the instillation I get a strange reaction. I get light headed, chills and numbness in the mouth with a 100 degree fever. Does anybody else get this? I talked to the nurse and she thinks it is vagal response or body's defense system acting up.

Please email me if anyone else has experienced this.

Your body may be having a reaction to the solution or even the cathetar. When I used to have the DMSO treatments or even go to the doctor to be catheraterized due to retention, my body would always become sore all over. My doctor decided that my urethea is just too sensitive to the cathetar. I have had 1 instill in my life, and it immediately sent me into a huge flare!

Does the nurse feel that you should have a round of antibiotics?

i had my first instill the other day, and right after it i felt light headed and wierd, it may have been the antibiotics they used but it went away the next day

Nurse did give levaquin to me. That is my other question. I am allergic to Penicillin. Is Levaquin OK to take. Pencillin allergy is in my chart. I hope Nurse has looked at it.

I won't say rescue solution is not helping. After two days - I can atleast sleep through the night.
