Have to have knee surgery..
I have been having problems with my left knee for some time. I had an MRI and some x-rays done recently and was refered to a orthopedic surgeon. I went to a Orthopedic surgeon today and he says I have to have knee surgery. I have what they call a lateral meniscus tear. I am going to have the surgery May 24th. It is going to be done orthoscopicly. It is a same day surgery, but I will be laid up for 4 to 5 weeks. That is going to be fun!! The surgery itself is no big deal, but the recovery is long. I have to also have physical therapy for some time as well.
Meds I take:
Elmiron, Elavil, Vagifem- for IC
Albuterol, Flovent, Atrovent- for Asthma and lung problems
Paxil, Clonazepam- for depression and Anxiety
Atenolol- for rapid heart rate
Nexium- for Gerd
Levothyroxin- for Hypothyroidism
Lasix, Pottasium- for edema
Lipitor- for High Cholesterol
I coated aspirin
02 at bedtime

Been there, done that!
Wishing you an uneventful surgery and recovery! Hopefully you'll be feeling much better once you're healed.

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I am not worried whatsoever. I just figure that this is just another adventure in life. No big deal. It will be over before I know it.
