My Basset hound had her puppies

I AM SO EXCITED...This is my first litter of puppies. My poor Lillie was so big and miserable before having them. And delivery took a total of 12 hours or a little longer. We had to help her. It started Saturday around 1:00 pm I heard the daddy barking in the back yard went outside and she had 2. The puppy I found was in the yard and Winston was just a barking, picked it up put it in the dog house with her and the other pup she just had and went to get my father in law to help. Hubby was fishing and I had to leave and go to the Airport to pick up my daughter. By the time I got back which was maybe 5 minutes she had accidently killed them both. This was her first litter and she was young and was not sure what to do. So any way she had a total of 11 pups and only 6 survied. 3 were born dead. They are so cute. 2 are black and white with patches of brown around the eyes and the other 4 are like Winston will either be lemon and white or red and white. This has been some experience, but we thought about breeding as a source of extra income and something for me to do at home and I have for sure been busy..
God grant me the serinity to withstand the days ahead!!!

:woohoo: Puppies. I just love them when they are that little. Can't wait to see a picture of them. Have fun your gonna be busy this holiday season.

We thought about the extra income of breeding as well but I know I would be attached and never get rid of them

Oh I have plenty of pictures of them already. lol...I am worried about the attachment to...But I know we have to many to keep any. I have 3 Bassett's 2 weenie dogs a cat...We are planning later on to keep another girl as they are a tad hard to find to breed with the other dog. We were not sure which male would be the daddy, but after they were born 7 where Winston's color and only 4 were either black and white or tri-colored. Lillie and P-Dog (did not name him, he already had it when we got him) are tri-colored.

If I can ever figure out how to attach a picture on here I will, but dumb me has not figured this out yet...Thanks guys I am very proud of her.

Wow, 11 puppies. Congrats on them. :woohoo: I used to have ducks and some of the mother ducks didn't know what they were doing either. They kept stepping on the little ducks. Couldn't get to them because the mother duck would start attacking me and they can really attack. Can't wait to see the pictures of the puppies.
