    Hair Cuts??

Has anybody every had their hair cut they asked for?? I went and got a hair cut on Saturday night... Just when my hair was getting long, and I liked it i went to get a trim. Guess what? The lady cut to much off. I'm so angry!!! The worst is when she turns me around and says "Do you like it?" I wanted to say NO!!!!!! But of course I'm not the type of person to say that so I was like yea thanks. I hate getting hair cuts. Even when you show them using your fingers how much to cut off they dont listen. Are they retarded? Does anybody else have this issue or it just me?? LOL

    Take care everyone!

That happens to me and I hate it. Am headed off to go get a hair cut soon and am hoping it turns out okay - we are leaving town tomorrow. I should have done this sooner so if it is bad it would have time to grow out!!

Happens to me too. Just got mine cut last week, been going to the same stylist for years and just recently she started to "spike" my hair wanted to add something to it. Asked how I like it, said it looks good, but of course, I really didn't like it, the last few times she did this I told her I didn't want her to do it and she didn't; this last time however, I think since I had my hair somewhat puffed up she spiked it anyway, so when I got home, I washed it and was able to do something with it. Still, it makes me mad.

Sometimes it's not possible to just take off a tiny bit and have the hair come out looking healthy. What I usually tell my hair dresser is to just trim enough so it's even and no more. Sometimes it feels like a little much, but I got one a few weeks ago and was very firm about how much to take off --- and it looks terrible! I'm trying a new stylist this afternoon and I've decided to leave it to her and cross my fingers! All I plan to tell her is to leave enough for a body perm in a couple of weeks when I have time.

Somebody once told me the difference between a bad haircut and a good one is to wait two weeks. It does grow out. But having paid to have it done, it is irritating to not have it done the way you want it. You can't fix it. You can't glue it back on. I think they get scissor happy.

I'm very pleased with the stylist who cut my hair yesterday! She just opened a shop 1/4 of a mile away. I've been driving 45 minutes for hair care so I hope this one stays where she is.

It's funny that I should read this post today. I have a hair appt this afternoon - the first hair appt I've had in probably 10 yrs!! I have very long hair & would just trim the bottom myself. Since I've had Graves Disease, my hair has started falling out & looks & feels horrible - kinda like it's dying. I finally decided that I needed some professional help.

Now I'm scared to death!!! I'm praying she'll know what she's doing. She comes recommended by a couple people. The thing is, if she screws it up too bad, the old saying 'it'll grow back' may not apply to me anymore!!

    Wish me luck!!

I have had that happen to me so many times. Have finally found one place that I have been going to for a year and they cut it just right. The worse was a perm I had done. TOld the woman I wanted just a little bit of curl so I wouldn't have to keep curling it everyday. I'm not one for curling. Asked her if she had an idea on what to do and she said yes. When it was all done I looked like Little Orphan Annie. I swear I did but her hair looked better. I could tell she didn't like how it turned out and none of the other people in the salon did either. They all had that "oh my god" look on their faces. Paid her anyway and just had to wait for it grow out and be cut off. I will never do a perm again. I also hate it when the woman washing my hair had a ring on every finger. Don't they relize those rings get caught in the persons hair??? She must have ripped out half of it. I'm like you too. I won't say anything. Just walk off talking to myself.
