Unhappy Can Acacia be making me sick?

I just started using the Acacia fiber yesterday morning. I had it mixed into my marshmallow root tea which I know is not a problem for me. I also had one slice of wonderbread toast with a smear of honey which I've also had before. After I had it I wound up getting a sour and sore stomach. I couldn't finish the rest of my tea. This morning I woke and thought my tummy was better. It didn't feel sore or sour so I had the same.......sure enough I immediately started to get a sore and sour gut. it's a half hour ater and I can't even look at my tea! All I have been taking is half a teaspoon to start in my tea. I hoped I would be able to build up to a larger dose but I am doing it exactly as it says on the directions..... build up slowly. do yo think it could be the fiber that is bothering me? I don't know what to think anymore or what to eat! My tummy is hurting me and I feel everything just sitting in my stomach!
I'll have to skip it tomorrow morning and have the same breakfast and see how I feel. Oh well.........I'm getting really fed up with trying new things to help me feel better and then having problems with them!

    The Tea maybe?

Maybe its the tea...If you drink too much Marshmallow root tea...it can upset your tummy...I got diarrhea if I drank just the littlest bit too much....daily would prolly have horrendous effects for me....

you could try and isolate the 2.....try one week with just your tea, no acacia

then the next week just acacia in water....no tea that week and see how you do....

or maybe just try keeping them separate.....don't mix the acacia into the tea...and take the acacia later in the day....maybe mixing the 2 together is not a good match for you. (???)
Somewhere there's a reason /Why things go like they do /Somewhere there's a reason /Why some things just fall through /We don't always see them /For what they really are /But I know there's a reason /Just can't see it from this far /Maybe I don't like it, /But I have no choice /I know that somewhere, /Someone hears my voice / I thought I knew it all /I thought I had it made /How could it end this way? /I thought I knew Somewhere there's a reason /Why things don't go my way /Somewhere there's a reason /That I cannot explain /Just like the change of season, /Just may not be my turn /But I know there's a reason, /The lesson's mine to learn

    Thanks Yvette,
I'll try separating the 2. I usually have marshmallow tea at night and don't notice it upsetting my tummy....but then again my sensitive tummy is usually pretty angry at me after dinner so even if it did upset me I wouldn't think it was the tea. hmmmmmmmm
Anyway, I'm going to try the Acacia separately in a little water....but I'll give today a rest and see how tomorrow goes.
    Thanks for the advise.
Hope you are having a good IC day.
