leaking urine

hi.

does anyone here leak urine? i'm on ditropan 20 mg for this. i have interstitial cystitis. the medicine seems to have stopped working for me. i feel really miserable. i'm engaged and will be married in april. my fiance is very supportive. but i feel like my life is so limited. it always depends on my bladder and the amount of leakage.

does anyone have this and know what works? my two urologists have been of limited help to me in treating this symtpom.

I leak urine all the time. My doctor is talking about doing a procedure called a sling. Hopefully this will work. He also wants to do a dilation and remove my inter-stim implant. It is not a fun place to be. I don't know about you but I feel like I always smell like pee. Hope you can get something to help before your wedding. Congraduations.

thanks so much for your reply. it seems like many people have this symptom, yet both doctors treated me like it was a rare and weird symptom, or that it was in my head. i often wonder why this happens to people. i hope to one day not wear pads. i usually go through three or four each day. it's very annoying and sad to have this symptom. i have no control over it. i've had it for a year. thanks again.

Hi- another "leaker" in the house!

I have been a constant dribbler ever since my IC went full blown last March. I haven't tried Ditropan but have been on Vesicare this entire time. We have increased my dosage past the recommended levels several times. I have found that when my pelvic floor spasms more, the leakages is much worse.

The best thing I have found is Kotex lightdays pantyliners and FDS deoderant spray. Also the Vagisil wipes are good but don't fit in small purses!

Me too, mostly if I cough, sneeze or lift something up and sometimes just walking cause problems. Hope maybe if you look into the sling surgery, I alway thought it was call the bandage surgery, it might work for you. I hope someone can give you more information because I don't know if we are talking about the same thing.
