Sunflower, I got two books from ICN when I ordered the newbie kit thing. The books were 1)The Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide & 2) Managing Interstitial Cystitis & Overlapping Conditions. Both books were very helpful in the beginning when I was sooo lost about what to do & what exactly IC was, etc....

If you're going to start with just one, I suggest the Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide.
I've had extremely good success ordering things from the ICN Shop.

Dr. Moldwin's DVD/VHS is called IC: The Basics; it is available only through the ICA (www.ichelp.org). I've seen the DVD and it is excellent! I've had the opportunity of seeing Dr. Moldwin speak many times and this is one of the most comprehensive speeches that I've heard from him.
There are many great resources available; Taste of the Good Life (IC Cookbook) is also a great book to have in your kitchen.
Best wishes, ICB

I bought Dr. Moldwin's book from the ICN when I was first d/xed. I still have it and refer to it from time to time. It is an excellant book to have on hand. I have read many others too, but I checked the rest out from the public library. If you read them there and still want a copy, you can always buy it then. Just remember before you buy any IC book, if it isnt in the ICN's shop, there is a reason for that, usually because it has not been helful for the majority of ICers.

I purchased all my books from book stores in Canada and via the mail in the US, before I found ICN website so was very fortunate to have found a variety and availablity of information at the time, all have been very helpful for me, especially To Wake in Tears and Along the Healing Path. Both of these books are by the same person and it is about "her story" and IC.Jen ...

Thank you everybody. I checked ICN main page and read some other people' s recommendation as well. I am so tired of pretending that I can have a normal life with IC. The reality is a lot tougher than I had expected. I come here when I really cannot handle my IC on my own. I should come here even I do feel better to support others. Everybody has good days and bad days. I just cannot take this any longer. IC controls my life not my controling IC.......
