Sick child and the IC woes
Alright, I have to admit that I have been extremely lucky thus far that my daughter hasn't been really sick since my IC symptoms progressed to their ever-loving point of misery.
My 7 yr old came home last night with a sore throat and fever and was up part of the night with it fighting me on taking medicine. You know, it is hard enough battling them when you feel well, but this was my first experience dealing a sickness at my present state.
Ughhhhh!
So glad that I only have one child

I know how you feel, my 2 year old hasn't felt well with the same thing for a few days and it wears you out. I no longer get him to sleep and it is already 4am time to get hubby up for work then it is 545 am and ready to start getting the girls up for school. Hope she feels better really soon.
PS Those new quick dissolve medicine strips are a life saver with kids that fight medicine. They make one for sore throat fever runny nose etc.

I know its tough when the kids get sick! What I do, is buy those flavor-ice popsicles, or any popsicle... and let them have one of those after they take the medicine! It seems to make them more eager to swallow the medicine and the popsicle soothes a sore throat too.
I hope you both feel better soon,

I can totally relate. My 5-yr-old got chicken pox (even though he had been vaccinated!!) and then gave them to my 10-month-old, who isn't old enough for the vaccine. He recovered in a couple days, but she was much worse and has been up A LOT every night this week! I think she is finally on the down swing.
Hope you and your kids are feeling better and know you are not alone!!IC dx June 2003
