    Question Side effects of IC meds?

    I think my urologist is going to want to put me on something for my IC...it's been really bothering me lately. I was only diagnosed last Nov but I also had adeno and had to have a hyst. Now that my adeno and endo are taken care of I guess I better address the IC. It's causing crampiness. I'm afraid of taking meds though because of side effects. What are side effects if any of IC meds? I'm thinking Elmiron is probably what I'll be put on. I think I may also have IBS so I'm really hoping my bowels won't be affected! Plus we go to Disney in June and I really wanted to be somewhat normal by then. Thanks for any advice!

    I have no answers for you but Welcome. I am only on Elmiron and I have IBS and apparently there's no issues or problems being on Elmiron for the bowels.
