    Diflucan vs. generic fluconazole ?

Hi, I'm wondering if any of you have ever noticed a difference between diflucan and it's generic? What I'm concerned about is if the generic clears up yeast as well as the name brand. I have noticed a difference , but of course it could just be that the infection was worse. Any feedback is appreciated Grace

Normally if I notice a difference between name brand and generic it is more on how it disolves into my system. I don't think I noticed a difference between generic and name brand with Diflucan.

I've noticed a difference. Same as you, I wasn't sure why, but I told the doc and he wrote to my ins co. letting them know that I needed the "Diflucan".

when I have taken a med and switch to the generic sometimes it takes longer to work....or just doesn't disolve into my system as easily. If there are any specifics on how to take this med...like with food away from food, with water....doing that may help the generic work as well as Diflucan (sorry don't remember the info anymore). It sometimes has taken longer for the generic to work as well because it just didn't absorb into me the same....I don't know if that helps but I have had my doctor tell my insurence I needed name brand in the past because of that problem.

I have used both and both work equally well for me, however i take anaprox for my period pain and when i get the generic naproxin it doesn't help the same so i guess we are all so different all trial & error. Glad the diflucan works for you.

Thanks everyone, I asked for the brand name and they had to order it. Better safe than sorry
