Time I shared...
Well, first off, just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here - you guys are great!

I must confess - I was a member a loooooooooooooong time ago, didnt post too much (cant really remember my user id either...memory sux), but I do remember many of the "faces" on here. I lurked for a long long time before joining again formally and now that I'm in a much better place myself, I decided to join once again. Glad I did, ya'll bring alot of smiles. I noticed there are alot of "old" members that are no longer on here - and was wondering whatever happend to Teri? (Donna I know you used to talk with her so very much....I pray she is alright and doing well). So many new wonderful people!
I've had IC for 10 years - hasnt been an easy time but, with time comes acceptance and with acceptance comes peace, although I do still get very aggrevated and angry some days. I think most of us do - its normal. I believe I posted all my other conditions earlier on, been a battle with them as well but - what are ya gonna do right?
My philosophy is laughter is the best medicine and you must have a sense of humor with ANY disease (and its much easier to smile than to frown (although screaming on occassion does seem to help
) else it will get the best of you in the end.
Just wanted to say thanks again for being here and for the laughs so far!

You have an incredible outlook and an awesome sense of humor I like to see that.

When people are in remission or just feeling better they might not feel the need to be on here
Aside from the few members, who have no IC symptoms left due to bladder removal or long-term remission that stay to answer questions and offer support, most people in those situations don’t feel a need to come here anymore since they don’t need support anymoreLast edited by ~*~Christine~*~; 03-24-2006 at 05:49 AM.

Christine: You are correct in saying that. I am sure there are hundreds of people who don't bother coming back to the boards because they feel better and they do not need the support anymore. Which is fine...I am happy for them that can go back to their lives and feel some what normal.
I personally, feel the need to give back that's why I stay on the boards. I enjoy helping people and enjoy giving any advise I can to hopefully make someone else feel better.Minds are like parachutes-they ony function when they are open.
