I did this WHY????
I have no explaination except total stupidity
I ate a bananna, and that was all well and good, had no problems.. but.. I had to add a tangerine to it later in the evening....
at myself for brining on a flair to myself... **note to self, Don't eat tangerines**

Sorry to hear that you're flaring as well. Keep flushing your system and get plenty of rest. Kick back and watch some girly movies.

I did things like that, too, when I was diet sensitive. I specifically remember eating a chocolate covered banana - half of one, just to see what would happen. I was always OK with bananas, but chocolate was a huge no-no for me.
Well, since I didn't flare immediately after eating it (not that it wouldn't take awhile to bother me anyway......) I decided to have another, and another until I had eaten about 4 halves. Needless to say I flared later.
So, I know what you mean - we certainly all do it.
Kim
Diagnosed August 2001
Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)
Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.
