I have no explaination except total stupidity I ate a bananna, and that was all well and good, had no problems.. but.. I had to add a tangerine to it later in the evening.... at myself for brining on a flair to myself... **note to self, Don't eat tangerines**'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Sorry to hear that you're flaring as well. Keep flushing your system and get plenty of rest. Kick back and watch some girly movies.

I did things like that, too, when I was diet sensitive. I specifically remember eating a chocolate covered banana - half of one, just to see what would happen. I was always OK with bananas, but chocolate was a huge no-no for me.
Well, since I didn't flare immediately after eating it (not that it wouldn't take awhile to bother me anyway......) I decided to have another, and another until I had eaten about 4 halves. Needless to say I flared later.
So, I know what you mean - we certainly all do it.Kim
Diagnosed August 2001
Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)
Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
My IC story: http://www.ic-network.com/patientstories/kim.html It's very outdated now. I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.
