I'd maybe ask your doctor about what sleep meds work best. Funny thing, i've been having major trouble sleeping this week as well. NOrmally I read in bed for an hour or so before I go to sleep and that seems to help, although not this week. But I think it's the added anxiety of knowing my job ends in March and I've only got a few months left.
Well, let's hope me and you get a good night's sleep!

I can't help you with any meds, but I just wanted to pop in and let you know you're not alone. I'm on my third night of absolutely no sleep and it gets a bit 'old' after awhile.
If it's not the IC that keeps me awake it's the humungous night sweats. I HATE IT! Geez life can be a real bummer sometimes.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread but I got on a bit of a roll there.
Hope things improve for you very soon.
Hugs~ Lynne ~

I take hydroxazine (probably spelled wrong). Started on 10 millgrams first and now taking 100 milligrams but you might not need that much. Can't sleep at all without it.

for me sleep is almost impossible and my doctor always uses the excuse that i'm too young to go on pills like that.

if you can't sleep just lay there.
the worst thing to do is turn on the tv because you lose all hope of sleeping then [believe me i know lol].
i also find sleeping with an ice pack under my back helps with spasms while i sleep too.
put a pillow between your legs and stretch out.
sometimes when all else fails i have to take a pain pill before i sleep.
try to not do that though because you may become addicted to that habit.
yep, i really hope sleep comes easier for you. :]I have been battling IC since I was 5 years of age. I was finally officially diagnosed with IC when I was 17 years of age. I am currently attend East Tennessee State University in order to become an Epidemiologist. I would love to assist with finding the cure for this painful disease.

I would suggest you speak to your doctor. There are so many drugs out there that can help you sleep.
