    Aloe Vera Juice

Has anyone tried aloe vera juice.
I know it has healing properties.
There was a man in line at the store buying a gallon jug of it! He swore it helped his arithitis. I had no idea it was even sold in gallon jugs! I've only used the plant and small tube of gel for burns. It seems like it might be soothing to the bladder????

    What do you think????

If anyone has tried it let us know

Be careful to order one that is specifically for use by IC patients, like Desert Harvest. Other aloe vera products can be very irritating to us. Good luck!

    Aloe

I tried the aloe vera capsules by Desert Harvest, and although I agree AV is good for you I didnt see much if any change in frequency, pressure or urethral stinging. Same goes for the oral gel.
Some just swear by aloe vera and it has helped them greatly, you just have to try it and see what it does for you.
I get pretty good results from 3 marshmello caps though, it seems to really soften the urine.

There is Desert Harvest Aloe Vera for sale at the ICN store. Research anything before you try it! Try only a small amount at first.

I find Aloe Vera to be very soothing to my bladder...I use it when I flare. It can also have long term benefits of helping to coat the bladder. There is a lot of info on Aloe Vera related to IC...research and so on.

The herb Marshmallow also known as Althaea officinalis from Readers Digest Family Guide to Natural Medicine:
No longer used in the puffy white candy that bears its name, marshmallow is known primarily for alleviate sore thrats and other ailments. The roots of the marshmallow contain mucilage, a gelatinous substance found in plants. When mixed with water, marshmallow root helps soothe irritiation and inflammation due to dry coughs, bronchitis, urinary tracts infections, colitis, and other problems.

    Aloe juice

I've looked to see if there was an Australian stockist of Desert Harvest but it seems I'm out of luck. I really can't afford to buy it from the US and ship it here - bummer. Most of what we can get is directly related to the juice which I'm wary of trying after reading that others find it irritating. The only company that seems to sell anything is Lifestream. Are there any other Aussies out there that have tried their products?
