Going on holidays
I did not know where to post this. But for myself, I consider this a sucess. Why? Cause I am going by myself (no one to hold my hand) and I am flying. These are two big things for me go and do. I have not travelled much, so as I type this, I must admit, I am a little nervous, but excited at the same time!
I have been really keeping an "eye" on my diet so that I don't eat things are going to cause me to flare. If I think I might flare after eating something, I will take two prelief. So far so good. It is not 100%, but it is helping me.
I leave this Saturday and the flight is about 1 hour and 35 min. I 'm staying with a friend and her husband. She is a nurse, so she understands that I have some health problems, so that is a relief off my mind. I am only going for 5 days. Which I think is long enough for my first big trip out of town byself to the "big city" down south of here. Like I mentioned earlier, I am trying to watch my diet this week and next and to get proper sleep. I have to remain positive and getting sleep will help me and I think help my stress level, which in turn will help not getting a flare up. Keeping my finger crossed!
I hope to let you all know how my trip "to the big city" went when I return north.
Take care.

I am so excited for you. I am sure you will have a great time. If you don't feel well remember to rest. It helps.

I am so very happy for you, and I hope that your trip goes well. Do you by chance have an IC bathroom access card? They explain how difficult it is for we ICers to wait when we need to use the restroom. I have found mine to be very useful. ( you can purchase one for 1.50 at the ICN shop )
Again, be safe and happy, and have a wonderful low pain trip!
Wishing you the best, today, tomorrow, and always!

Today is the big day!
Well, today is the big day! Today is the day I leave for my trip down to Alberta from the NWT. Something I thought I would never do. But I am going to do it. I am a little nervous, stomach is a little queasy, but I hope that stops. Still have to finish packing. Flight leaves tonight at 5pm. It is only 1 hr and 35 min trip. Bladder feels good so far. I have one tall glass of water with my regular meds. I wil stop drinking water about 12 noon or 1pm, just to be "safe side". I will go back to drinking water when I get settled at my friends place in Edmonton tonight.
Thanks ladies for wishing me good luck. I will keep you all updated.
Lynn
P.S Retail therapy, here I come!!!!!!! :woohoo:
