beware the hidden culprits! (arrrghghghg!)
Well, this is a rough learning process. For the last two days, I've been following the diet religiously, but have had severe pain, frequency, urgency--you know, the usual flare. Couldn't figure it out, and started to feel kind of hopeless--like, if the diet doesn't work, why give up all these great foods? Then I came home from work and looked at the bottle of Nyquil, which I've taken the last two nights, and there it was: citric acid, alcohol, and a bunch of other stuff my poor bladder was screaming at me about. Has anyone else had similar experiences? Maybe we can start a list (or maybe there is one already?) of non-food items that can cause problems and should be avoided. I'm frustrated, but so glad to find out what caused this wicked pain.
