    What is ******* powder?

I read a posting on remedyfind.com saying that someone had used ambertose powder and their symptoms of IC were gone in a few weeks. Has anyone heard of this powder?

I did a search and didn't find anything that told me what this is. You might ask your doctor --- and let us know if you find out.

I found out that it's in a category known as glyconutrients. Glyconutrients are being touted as a cure-all for things like autism and ALS. If it were such a miracle drug, why haven't we heard about it before? Something doesn't sound right here . . .

I have to agree --- if it sounds too good to be true --- it almost always is!

Donna, try the search under "*********" - a lot of hits! Has anybody tried this?

I did the search, and that was pretty interesting. According to Desert Harvest Aloe Vera (which seems to help me), the ingredient that helps re-line the bladder is polysaccharides. Some of the ********* sites say their active ingredient is monosaccharides, but the Rememy Finder site says polysaccharides.

The thing the struck me most about the Remedy Finder rating is that it is based on only two people. (I'm afraid I'll need a stronger consensus before I start shelling out money or risking a flare up on a new product.) The IC Treatment rating page listed treated that had been rated by more people, and I thought it was interesting that Diet headed the list. Both Elmiron and Elavil got less than 6 out of 10.

Point well taken! I haven't bought the stuff yet. Not sure if I will. I may consider doing the Desert Harvest Aloe Vera, though.

I took the powder for 6 months and it did help. I was also on elmiron instillations so I don't know what helped more. I am a dietitian and truely believe in the power of glyconutrients. The reason I stop taking it was financial. It''s very expensive 100 dollars for 100 grams. I am going to start taking it again now that my symptoms have returned ( I was pregnant and nursing for the past 2 1/2 years).

    ********* powder

I have recently been diagnosed with IC but have been taking ********* powder for over a year for chronic fatigue syndrome. It definitely helped with my energy level, but I have not noticed any improvement with IC. I also suffered from leaky gut syndrome which is a defect in the lining of the intestine - same as what we have in the bladder. I took a powder called permavite which completely healed it. I wonder if there is something like that for the bladder? I will ask my doctor next time I have an appointment. He is a very prominent internist who practices integrative medicine, but he is very expensive and does not accept any insurance. So far I am dealing with a local urologist who diagnosed me . I will let everyone knopw if there is a natural treatment to heal the bladder. I trust my internist absolutely.
