Kidney Stones?
Does anyone here ever deal with Kidney Stones?
My Uro says that he does'nt think that it has anything to do with my IC,
but it might be a problem down the road. Any thoughts?

I'm the same as Kelly, mine started with a UTI that ended up being a kidney stone, that when that passed, turned into IC.

My IC started sever about 3 months after my first episode with kidney stones, I am sure I had IC longer with my medical background. i have had them 4 times in about 3 years. They are not friendly little creatures.

I have MSK and lots of small stones in both kidneys! I had several kidney stones and stone surgeries. The first time I remember intense burning was after a large stone and bad episode that gave me pseudomonias. Afterward I had some burning but only REALLY got my attention if I used the wrong detergent etc. I have gotten up at night for years and had pelvic pain after the birth of our last two children. So don't know! I do know that this recent flare that has lasted for months, came after tests, scopes etc. for flank pain that I thought was stone. I don't balme my DR since he was only following normal procedure! I did notice that after an IVP, I would have intense burning. I had a lot of burning after the CAT scan also. I think both dye solutions irritate the bladder! I also found that the stent and string really irritated the bladder!...,
Basically I don't think stones cause IC but that they can really irritate it and many of the procedures used to treat them really irritate the baldder!...I am concerned how this is going to effect my IC long term too!
