milk allergy poll
okay, another poll. A doctor recently told me that milk allergies are common for IC patients. I can't have any milk. I am very allergic to cow's protein. Does anyone else with IC have milk allergies? Just want to see if this comment is accurate. thanks again! I see at least one IC'er who posted today that she has milk allergies, too.

No milk allergies for me. I have a number of food allergies, but milk is not one of them.

For years I always felt bad...like the first day when you are getting the flu....I went to a naturalpath dr and he did some testing and milk/dairy were off the charts! I was terribly allergic....eggs were also bad...I went off dairy and eggs for about 6 years....I have gradually added small amounts into my diet with no effects..I do not buy milk, I use Mocha Mix or soymilk....
After suffering with IC for 40 years, my bladder was removed in Dec 05...YAY!

i'm very sensative to milk (as well as all other dairy foods). though i only discovered this about a year ago, my doctor suspects i've been intolerant for some time, and that it is common for the human body to mask symptoms until a traumatic health issue - such as IC. also, it's very common for those who are allergic to milk to be allergic to eggs as well (me.) i also can't eat wheat or any refined sugar products.

lactose intolerance
I just recently figured out I can not do milk. When I drink it. My stomach started hurting and swelling and terrible IBS problems. So I have much less problems now. Hugs

i've had a doctor tell me (in an appt. related to allergies) that dairy products can aggrivate allergies. not neccesarilly meaning you are allergic to dairy per se. like i have general allergies, such as dust and dander, and consuming dairy products just make me even more stuffy.

I don't believe I have a milk allergy, but have been drinking lactose tolerant milk for the last 4 months. It was recommended by the nurse who did my DMSO installations. I seem to digest it better and gives me less IBS symptoms. I also have noticed with my allergies(dust, pollen, etc) that certain foods make my nose run; dairy products being one of them.

lactose intolerant
Not officially tested to say I'm allergic, but I know I'm lactose intolerant. I get lots of gas and IBS, and sometimes I'll get phlegm in my throat.

I can tolerate dairy products OK so long as I don't have too much at once; otherwise, my IBS acts up. However, I've noticed something peculiar recently that never happened to me before. Whenever I eat ice cream now, I start experiencing burning when I urinate soon after.

I am lactose intolerant. I get very bad IBS symptoms. My nose and ears get stuffed up when I drink milk or eat cheese.
