Recently diagnosed with IC

I was diagnosed with IC in September. It was very difficult to ajust to the pains and the lack of being active. But over a couple of months I'm learning to cope with IC. I finding meditation, relaxation and yoga really help. And also eating the right foods. My husband has been very supportive, and my step-son Isaak keeps me smilling.

I'd just like to add another to the IC Network and second the suggestion about reading the Patient Handbook. There are also two books I recommend (both available from the ICN Shop):

"The Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide" --- Written by urologist Robert Moldwin, it's an easy to understand reference book. I believe every IC patient should have a copy.

"A Taste Of The Good Life" --- Bev Laumann, an IC patient, wrote the book. It contains some excellent information about the IC diet, and also has some wonderful recipes that are IC safe.
