For the person who was cured by nutrition shakes and the Administrator/Moderators
It seems like your thread was deleted....which totally sucks because I wanted to know what the brand was via a private message but now I don't know what your name is!? If you could send me a private message that would be great.
For the Adminstrator/Moderators:
Why did you delete her thread?
Is the ICN against alternative medicine?

The person who started the thread may have deleted it. I'm not sure tho.
I didn't look at the link that was there but if it had something to do with saleing the idem on the board that is against the rules. Hopefully the person who started the thread will email you. with the information but please remember this could had been just a one in a time thing. Or maybe the person don't have IC just the IC systom or none at all it could had been a person who joined the icn just to try to sale something we do get people like that from time to time.
trying to sale amake believe cure, but what ever works for that person if they have IC is what is important.
I did post to that thread but i'm sorry i don't remember who it was from or if it was a new member or not sorry i'm not helpful.Medicine taken daily or as needed:
1. Heaprin and Marcaine rescue installment 1 to 3x daily as needed.
2. MS.Cotin 100mg 3x daily
3. MSIR 30mg 1 or 2 every 4-6hrs as needed for breakthrew pain.
4. Fentanyl 100 mg Change every 48hrs.
5. Gentamicin 80mg install after each rescue treatment
5 Leviquin 500mg self start as needed.
6. Klonopin 1 or 2 daily as needed.
7. Prosed/DS as 1 every 6hrs as needed.

I have IC, but IC doesn't have me anymore!

I dont believe the moderators on this site are against herbal meds. Anyone who gets relief should let others know how they accomplished this. However, when you say you get relief and then want to charge people for that info that is not the same. I got taken in by many so called "cure" people when I was desperate. And IC people, on the whole, do not have money to waste. Many people want to take advantage of people in a no win situation. I have a friend who got relief from herbs and I have referred a few people to the Green Herb site that she told me about but I receive no monetary gain from doing this.

I deleted the message after visiting the web site mentioned and finding they are saying this supplement can cure many diseases, including preventing cancer and reversing aging. We are absolutely not against alternative treatments, but at the same time do not wish to promote this kind of advertising.

Hi there. I am sorry if you are upset about the deleted post, sacausa. It isn't about someone making up their own mind, however, everyone needs to watch those types of things very carefully. If you put interstitial cystitis treatment in a search engine, 99% of what comes up, outside of ICN and ICA is someone trying to take advantage of people in our condition. ICN has to be very discriminating about which products are mentioned by name here. Even the food Jill sells in her store here is carefully researched.
You are right, we need more research into nutrition support and treatment for IC. But in the meantime many people find ithey are helped if they follow the IC diet, taking time to determine their personal food triggers. As far as natural and alternative treatments, you could investigate Prelief, , Algonot, and Desert Harvest Aloe, mentioned in the Patient Handbook right here on ICN.
