    Question Question about Elmiron and Prelief

    I was wondering if anyone knew if it hurts to take Preleif with Elmiron. I was recently diagnosed with IC and am on Elmiron for 2 years, but Ihave been reading about Prelief and am thinking of trying it, if it doesn't interact with theElmiron. Thanks for any help, Mary
    Also, can you buy Prelief in canada?

    I have been taking Prelief just fine with Elmiron...I don't know about buying it in Canada..I live near Seattle and I get mine at Walgreens..
    After suffering with IC for 40 years, my bladder was removed in Dec 05...YAY!

    Prelief is very safe to take with most anything....I have been taking it with Elmiron for many years with doctors saying good!

    No, unfortunately we can not get Prelief in Canada..I grew up on a border town and was just there for a visit... My brother took me into Vermont and I stocked up..If you know anyone who can get it for you that would be your best bet...You can order on line but the handling and duty really add up. Have you tried Tums?...I have had to used them in a pinch.. or even 1tsp of baking soda in a cup of water..But be carefull with that if you have high blood pressure.
    Hopefully you will find someting that works really soon.

    Diagnosed 2003
    by cysto/hydro
    Elmiron took almost a year- made me sick, caused diarrhea
    Pyridium -Made me sick
    Detrol and Ditropan- caused constipation
    Trying DMSO instill- had 5 out of 6
    Started Oxytrol Patch- no side affects so far --Jan 2011
    stopped using them after 3 months-- skin was getting irritated
    Cysto/hydro April 6ht 2011-- on expansion only hold one cup
    IBS/ IC
    High blood pressure meds and Crestor
    Sinequan
