Vaginial Bacteria infection!

I went to the Drs today and they have just called saying I have a Vagainal bacteria infection. They want me to take some things internally for a few days to clear it up. Its not a yeast infection. Completely different I am told.

Anyone ever have this?

Maybe thats why my bladder has gone to hell in a hand basket and I have been in horid pain for weeks now?

Please tell me I am not the only one!

Could this cause flank pain???

You're not alone. It's called bacterial vaginosis and I have been batteling it all summer. I didn't respond to 2 rounds of amoxycillan and the vaginal cream I was Rxed. Last week I went back to the doc and I am now on Cipro and have to altrenate 2 different types of creams. Yuk! I had this a long time ago, maybe 12 years or so and I am sick of it!! It has caused me to flare for about 6 weeks now but it hasn't been completely overwhelming, just bothersome. I think I got it from swimming in a pool but you can get it from bad hygene, sex, pools, and even diet changes can affect the vaginal pH balances that may cause a decrease in the "good" bacteria causing the "bad" bacteria to run amuck.
