Hi all!
I have recently been diagnosed with IC by my doctor. He is sending me to The Uroligist at the end of this month. He has put me on, what I have read, are the standard meds, Elavil and Elmiron. They have seemed to be helping me a bit until yesterday(Sat) I had such a bad episode of the bladder pain that I called an ambulance. I got some relief from the pain after four different shots of morphine. It was nuts! They said I did have a bladder infection (this time). The doctor said I had a lot of bacteria in my urine. He said that it is rare to have a baldder infection with the IC. All my other tests came back neg. They also took a culture and I am curious what that turns out. All my other cultures have come back neg.
I am kind of down in the dumps, because I also have asthma/emphasema or COPD. The IC just adds to it.
