I am halfway into this book and can't believe the new approach the authors take.

Has anyone been through this program? They offer patient courses up in No. Cal.

I know my pelvic muscles are always tight. It is a vicious cycle as the pain makes me clench them.

Also, I had mutiple miscarriages and before I got IC, I got into the habit of actually trying to hold my babies inside my body by tightening up and being afraid of even going to the bathroom. I think that started a decade long bad habit and it's resurfaced.

Sounds familiar. I had 3 mc's, and was always afraid I was going to loose this one.

I went to Dr. Wise's program in Sept. 2003, and found it to be very helpful. Basically, it is teaching you to do his relaxation techniques, and discuss his overall program. He also shared his personal battle with pelvic illness. But the main program at that time was actually doing the relaxation techniques. Dr. Wise seemed to be very open to phone calls or e-mails, so you may want to try contacting him directly to see if you would be a good candidate. His contact information should be in the back of the book.
