Hi All...I found some Prelief at Walgreens and finally got to take it. WOW!!!!

I suffer from IBS and reflux too and I took this and ate my dinner and had NO PROBLEMS, I finally got some relief this AM when I woke up too...this is the first morning since all this cycle started with the bladder/urethral issues that I got up and had a normal bowel movement (sorry, don't mean to sound gross but I was so excited). Just to do this relieves the pressure on my bladder so I can function better during the day. I never thought I would get so excited about going to the bathroom.

This all reminds me of when I was in church last week and someone asked what are you thankful for...I of course uttered the silly words, "I'm thankful I can pee without pain today." I'll bet those are words that no one ever thought they'd hear. Fortunately, most everyone there knew me and my condition so they weren't too surprised but I wanted them to understand how much we often take for granted. Being able to go to the bathroom without pain is a blessing.

I'm rambling now....sorry....just wanted to share a HAPPY MOMENT!!!!

Debi :woohoo:

Prelief has also worked really good for me. However, I take 3 when I drink a coke and I still have problems. Coke just doesn't go well with my bladder. I'm trying to slowly cut coke out all together. The problem is if I go off of it I'll get a really bad headache and feel horrible. I've been on it for so long my body can't function without the caffine. Prelief works really good though when I'm eating foods with a lot of acids. Who came up with Prelief anyways?? Chelsey

Yeah, my mom looked for Prelief at Wal-Mart and Target. Neither place carried it. She finally found it at Eckerds for me. It's $12.00 for 120 pills. It's worth it though. Chelsey

Hi Chelsey:

Alan Kligerman, AkPharma's CEO, is the developer of Prelief (he is also the person who developed Lactaid and Beano). Mr. Kligerman was looking for a way to help women get more calcium into their diets. He discovered, while trying it in coffee, that calcium glycerophosphate (the active ingredient in Prelief) not only dissolved well, it reduced the acid content of coffee as well as other foods. Once on the market, women who bought Prelief to reduce acid in food found that it helped relieve the symptoms of IC.

I noted that you are in Florida.......Prelief is available in Florida (and should be on the shelf) at all Walgreens, RiteAids, Publix stores and Eckerd Drugs.

Look for Prelief in the antacid aisle. If you do not see it, ask the Store Manager (not the pharmacist). The Store Manager stocks and orders the over-the-counter products and will locate it for you. (Publix sells Prelief 120 tablets for approximately $8.00.)

Hope this is helpful.....
