Spasms?

Just diagnosed with IC, I have a stupid question. What is a bladder spasm? Can Ibe having them and not knowing what to call them. After I go potty , I feel like I really need to go again (even though I don't bother). after a while, the discomfort passes until I barely feel it. Are these bladder spasms? Will my DMSO help with that.

I would talk to your doctor about your symptom just to make sure. I take pyridium plus when I have have them.Mine tend to feel like bladder contractions.

Mine feel like my bladder is trying to turn itself inside out. Oddly enough, I can wake up in the night pain free, go to the bathroom, and by the time I lie back down, the thing feels like it's turning sommersaults, and it hurts!

That is what mine feelslike, hurts after I use the potty. I usually have that pressure all the time, but right after going it is way worse. I am concered that he will want to wait to see if the DMSO is doing anything, and not give me anything.

You can have them and not really feel anything.....other than having to pee which you may feel so much it is hard to no the difference between a spasm and other causes for IC symptoms.....I didn't believe my doc when he said I had them and the first antispasmodic med I tried didn't help....but hyoscyamine has ....leads to believe doc was right. Yes that feeling could be a spasm...or not.....even your doc may not be sure. HOpe you can get help. :grouphug: :grouphug:
