for the last 2 weeks + i've had a great feeling of pressure in the right side of my groin, it doesn't hurt so much it's just a bit "uncomfy" and feels kind of like it's swollen inside, even though it doesn't look swollen. my mum says she used to get it all the time and it's nothing to worry about, but i kind of feel like it might be messing my IC up a little with the pressure.

oh yes and yesterday i managed to have an IC-related panic attack just walk from my house down to a friends house at the bottom of the street, even though I'd JUST been to the bathroom before I left! it really sucked :-\ Even though I've been in constant bladder discomfort I've still mostly been able to hold it in for an hour at a time so I don't know why I got so panicy just walking 30seconds to someone else's house :-\

Oh, and for the past week or so I've noticed even though I'm usually lasting about an hour during the day, as soon as I head to bed to go to sleep, I'm getting up every 5 minutes for the next hour, I have no idea why but it suddenly hits the second I go to bed, any idea's anyone? My IC's usually better during the evening than it is during the day.

Hope everyone's ok, my internets been broken all week and i'm on my brothers comp lol, I've actually missed checking up on these forums everyday <3 xxx

The side pain is what got me to the doctor, I thought it was an ovary problem. Turned out to be IC. I started getting panic attacks just before my diagnosis, I blamed menopause. I'm on Xanax for them & it also helps my IC. Sometimes we're just too busy during the day to think & when we lay down at night the realization that we have to pee is there. You sound perfectly normal for an ICer. :( Hugs, Kathi

OH!! I know the drill SO well... you lay down at night to relax and prepare for sleep. A tingle in your bladder tells you you've got to go. So you get up. Five minutes later, another tingle, this time more intense... so you get up again. This continues for an hour or more, and each time you dribble about 4 or 5 drops of pee. Your bladder feels "angry" and refuses to hold even the teeniest amount of urine. Not only that, half the time when you lie back down your bladder spasms and clenches your lower abdomen/lower back for a little bit. You drive your husband nuts, and you drive yourself nuts!!!! Yep, I have been there and done that. I have even gone to the guest room to read in the past so I wouldn't bother my husband with my up-and-down schedule.

Now that I'm on a bunch of meds, it makes it easier to go to bed... the night ones make me so sleepy and relax my bladder a bit so that I don't do this as much... some nights I got directly to sleep!! :)

I think you'll find the right meds soon, and you'll be able to deal with the before-bed bathroom parade better too :) Good luck... discuss it with your doc, too. He may have an idea....

Last night before bed i decided with a week to go till i visit my Uro again, that i would keep a diary of the times i have to get up throught he night, Is this normal

bed at 10.30
up at 10.57
then at 11.39
1.05
2.48
4.46
then got up at 8am.

I feel so tired!! My hubby works at 3.30 am so i tend to disturb him too with my up and downs. Considering they are not convinced its IC yet any ideas!!!
Its more of a pressure pain with me rather than an urge to go!!! its one i cannot ignore as it just gets stronger but the frustration is the dribbles!!!
