I went to eh SS office to check into disability and guess what??

THE PUBLIC RESTROOM WAS OUT OF ORDER!!!

I could not stay long enough to speak to anyone. I don't think they understand about how BADLY I need a bathroom ay my disposal.

You can check into disability by telephone --- that way you can take the phone with you to the bathroom while you sit on hold for an hour before you get to talk with someone --- but at least you don't have to sit in a waiting room. They usually can't tell you anything at their offices anyhow. On request, they will mail you application forms.

When applying for SS disability you can do it all by phone now. They will even do your interview by phone. If they don't offer, than ask.

Definitely try to schedule a phone interview. I did my phone interview back in May. There were SEVERAL times during the phone interview that I would have to ask the representative if I could lay the phone down for a moment as I needed to use the restroom. It was very embarrassing. However, I would rather keep interrupting the interview by phone and not have to sit face to face with someone and keep jumping up! My rep was very nice every time I announced that I had to use the restroom. At least I KNEW I wouldn't have to deal with lack of facilities! Good luck and call ASAP and ask for a phone interview.
