Hi all,
A few weeks ago I posted and was very distraught and I have to say that finding this site and learning more about my suspected condition has greatly helped me.

I went to the Uro yesterday and she was fabulous. As you might recall I am undergoing IVF right now to have a baby. So she was very cautious about treatment. Right now since I am in the middle of the IVF prep cycle, we are working on mainly dietary restrictions. I have all my info from her and from the site. I am starting to seek out good foods for IC eaters and I feel better about myself. I am still having some issues (especially at night). But things are settling down. I only have really bad flares when I eat something that isn't good for me as an IC patient.

We will probably do the distention and scope procedure in November if I do not get pregnant. So thanks everyone !!!

:) I'm so glad your doctor turned out to be very cautious and caring. That is so important when dealing with this disease! Good luck with your IVF cycle, and if it turns out you are not pregnant, then good luck with the cysto/hydro!! :)

Isnt it great to have a doctor who really cares. I have a wonderful urologist. I have been to others who could have given a heep but she is great.

I hope everything goes well for you. Have you tried taking prelief to reduce the acidity in your foods as well. I don't think it would hurtt to take it when you are pregnant but I think it is always good to ask. Take care and good luck - Chris
