interesting; my gyn is doing more than my uro

just thought that was weird. my gyn called me last week to get me started on the doxycycline for IC. my uro never did. hmmmm...... all the uro ever did was bombard me with letters about interstim. when he did my last cystoscopy and saw problems still right after heparin instills, he only said keep taking elmiron and see me in a 6 months.

think i'm done with the uro for now. grrr.

Holly, that is interesting. I had a nice conversation with my DD ob/gyn last week when she had her baby and in the conversation we discussed my uro. He is in the same big group that yours was. We also discussed treatments, she bringing up Elmiron. I talked to her about what I was doing and Interstim was mentioned. She only knew one uro/gyno in the area, we are in Ft. Worth, that did them. None of her patients had the stim. I know who she is referring to, but I also think there are more Dr.s in the DFW area that are doing it. You are a smart person and know that it is suppose to be last resort, so you keep doing what you are comfortable with and if and when you need the stim, you know that it is available should you want to do it. :kissing:
